Our Doctors

The staff and doctors at North Texas Foot & Ankle are dedicated to improving your quality of life and getting you back on your feet to your active lifestyle. North Texas Foot & Ankle, located in Las Colinas, has been providing quality foot and ankle care to patients of all ages for many years.

Ronica N. Holcombe, DPM

Dr. Ronica Holcombe is a native of Irving, Texas and a graduate of Texas A&M. After graduating valedictorian from Chicago College of Podiatric Medicine, she then completed a three-year surgical residency in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery in Miami.

Todd Lewis, DPM, AACFAS

Dr. Todd Lewis graduated Cum Laude from Northern Arizona University (NAU) with a baccalaureate in Microbiology and a minor in Chemistry. During his graduate studies at NAU, he was granted a part-time faculty position in the Chemistry and Nutrition Department and participated in Ovarian Tissue and Apo-Lipoprotein E research under Dr. Cheryl Dyer.

Dr. Stephen Schmitz

Dr. Stephen Schmitz is a Podiatric Foot and Ankle specialist. He completed a four-year medicine and surgical residency in New York City at Mount Sinai Health System, where he was the chief resident. He specializes in general podiatry, sports medicine, diabetic care, reconstruction, and surgical trauma repair.

I was able to book a same day, new patient appointment for my son. Everyone in this office was welcoming and kind. Dr. Schmidt was so great with my teenager and his foot needs as a long distance runner. I loved the doctor's energy and he did a great job explaining everything to my son. A quick and painless procedure had him running again the next day (probably should have taken a few days off...but teenage boys never take a break!). Wow. I’m blown away by my experience at this practice. From the first person maricelle who picked up the phone and scheduled me , to Linda who got all the info from my insurance .. to Gabe the MA who greeted me and took my x rays - who by the way was so knowledgeable himself. Even more so I was blown away by Dr Schmidt with his knowledge and ability to explain exactly why my foot was hurting and didn’t even focus just on my feet it was all related to the whole body. Got great insoles that immediately relieved my pain as well. What a great office dynamic - you know they’re doing something right when all the staff is happy and accommodating and doctor actually has time to talk to you. 100/10 recommend !! Shout out to Ayesha for her calming presence as well !

Had my appointment yesterday 07/24/2024 with Dr. Stephen Schmitz. He was very nice and very informative of everything! Went over everything that was going on with my foot. I have plantar fascitis and arthritis on top of my foot and 3 little toes are a little deformed. He even went over the type of surgery he would do if I ever have to go that route. The nurse was very nice too. Great place to go for your feet and or ankle. Thank you so much!
