He completed a four-year medicine and surgical residency in New York City at Mount Sinai Health System, where he was the chief resident. He specializes in general podiatry, bunions, hammertoe sports medicine, diabetic care, reconstruction, and surgical trauma repair. Dr. Schmitz enjoys all facets of podiatry and getting to know his patients. Dr. Schmitz comes from Northwest Florida and attended medical school in Miami, FL at Barry University.
